Pantera - The Great Southern Trendkill

129

The Great Southern Trendkill (1996) album art was designed by "Wild" Jim deBarros, with a bold, minimal aesthetic vibe with a Western Diamondback rattlesnake against a cracked earth background. The design, which reflects a raw and intense tone, included photo illustrations by Exum and design assistance from David Manteau. The artwork, moves away from the band photos used on earlier albums to a more symbolic, aggressive visual. So it was mirroring the chaotic and heavy sound of the record, which was produced during a period of high tension within the band.
