Tenggren was hired by Walt Disney Productions in 1936 to work as the chief illustrator on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This movie was Disney's first animated film which opened up a whole new world for illustrators, animators, and graphic designers working on movies and films.
Tenggren later worked on films such as Bambi, Pinocchio, and Fantasia and continued working on backgrounds/atmospheres for later films.
