I Am Divine Movie Poster

This is the poster for the documentary I Am Divine directed by Jeffrey Schwarz and released in 2013. The film is about the first famous drag queen Divine or Harris Glen Milstead. Divine is a cultural icon for the queer community as his makeup and performance style inspired drag artists and pop culture through films made with director John Waters. He uniquely keeps his pronouns male while in drag instead of going by she/her. The poster mimics Andy Warhol's Monroe pop art and accentuates Divine's usually wild hair to be the background for the text. The font for I Am Divine seems handwritten.
