Magic Trip Theatrical Artwork

19

This is the theatrical art for the documentary film Magic Trip in 2011 by Aries Moross. The type is hand drawn for the main font, and the illustrations are original to the designer. Aries Moross is a queer (non-binary) graphic designer and illustrator based in London and working primarily in the music industry scene. Magic Trip is a documentary about author Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters' footage of their cross-country road trip to 1964 New York World's Fair while on drugs. They were part of the LSD acid tests and part of the bourgeoning counter-culture movement in the 60s. The artwork takes inspiration from hippie and psychedelic imagery to represent this.
