Delicious Family Tree

4

This poster presents sake through the lens of the “genealogy of rice.” Rice cultivation has been practiced in Japan since the Yayoi period, and rice has been passed down not only as a part of food culture but also as the foundation of faith and daily life.

The deep relationship between rice and people is evident from the fact that cooked rice, raw rice, and rice used to make sake are offered at shrines and Buddhist altars.

Sake is a drink made from rice, and people are an extension of rice’s history. The poster aims to convey sake culture to foreign visitors to Japan while also encouraging Japanese people to feel closer to sake and enjoy tasting it. Then feel it as part of the “Delicious Family Tree”.
