Journey's 1981 Escape album, featuring the iconic scarab spaceship designed by artist Stanley Mouse, is a seminal piece of album art. The cover depicts a futuristic, razor-toothed scarab breaking out of a glass, spherical planetoid, symbolizing escape or rebirth. The design is celebrated for its blend of vibrant, warm, and cool colors, with the band's logo stylized as "E5C4P3". 

The album was a landmark album that catapulted the band to superstardom, topping the Billboard 200 and achieving Diamond certification (10 million+ copies sold). It redefined their sound, blending melodic rock with arena-pop hits like "Don't Stop Believin'," "Open Arms," and "Who's Crying Now".
