Late Valentine Tape
Late Valentine Tape is a mixtape created by Gerardo Velazquez that includes some of his solo work and recordings with his punk rock electronic band, Nervous Gender. It was originally intended to be a Valentine's Day gift in 1991, but it was completed later that year and given to a few close friends, shortly before he died of AIDS in March 1992. Velazquez gave a copy to Joe Zinnato, who he asked to care for his archives after his death. Zinnato did a second release of 10 copies, as part of the Pacific Standard Time show, “Nervously Engendered: The Art of Gerardo Velazquez”.
