Iowa State vs. Nebraska, October 16, 1943

4

This World War II–era football program was created for the Iowa State Cyclones vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers game held in Ames on October 16, 1943. Designed during the height of the war, it features patriotic illustrations, military imagery, and articles about Iowa State’s Naval Training School, which brought aviation, electrician, and diesel mechanic trainees to campus. The program reflects how college athletics, graphic design, and wartime propaganda intersected in Iowa during this period.
