This is a book cover for Kaijin Nijumenso (English title : The Fiend with Twenty Faces). Both cover design and illustration is done by Shinsaku Fujita. It features a dramatic close up of the villain of this novel. The masked face with a top hat is half covered with big red sans-serif font spelling “RANPO” vertically along with author's name in kanji “江戸川乱歩” , at the left bottom inside the text. The illustration overall is cool, dark tones of green and blue dominate the background, enhancing night time exposure.
