Awatsuji Misa's MINO-WASHI project

3

Misa Awatsuji (1965 - present) is a graphic designer who co-created a graphic design studio called Awatsuji Design Inc. with her sisters Mijaha and Maki Awatsuji. Misa is also a member of the Japan Design Committee (an organization consisting of 31 volunteers aiming to "enlighten people about good design") and is a professor at Joshibi University of Art and Design. Her clients usually hire her to design packages and editorials yet she also has an interest in designing posters.

The MINO-WASHI project in 2005 consists of nine designs that can either be put together in one page or repeated in their own pages. Each design represents a part of Japanese culture including the NIPPON logo incorporated onto the sides.
