This Newtype magazine cover featured a series called seed destiny which shows a main Gundam from the show on the cover.
The magazine was published by Kadokawa Shoten. The cover of the magazine features the work of Kunio Okawara and Kimitoshi Yamane who worked on the mecha designs for seed destiny. Newtype's editorial design team produced the final layout for the cover. In the 1990-2000 Newtype had become Japan's leading anime magazine, rivaling other magazines such as Animage. Newtype is known for their futuristic and glossy layout and being trendsetters when it came to new animations. Published by Kadokawa Shoten
