Calpis. Good, Refreshing, Nutritious, Good for your Digestion

10

This poster was made in 1932 to promote the popular Japanese drink Calpis, produced by Calpis Food Co. The artwork shows a modern woman dressed stylishly in white, sitting with a glass of Calpis in her hand. Her relaxed pose and gentle smile create a feeling of freshness and comfort, matching the drink’s message of being tasty, cooling, and healthy. The design uses bright colors and smooth shading to make the woman and the bottle stand out against the dark background. The use of Western-style fashion and art deco design reflects Japan’s growing modern culture in the early 1930s.
