Just met up with Art Sims this weekend. Like many of his posters, he conceived this idea after submitting dozens of trials and comps to Spike Lee. Sims arranged the photo and Richard Wyatt painted the title on the pavement based on Sims’ lettering. Variations of this lettering was used for other promotional material including this amazing embroidered jacket.
