According to Andrew Perchuk, deputy director of Getty Research Institute, this poster was created as a special commission by the artist Andrea Bowers for the first Getty Pacific Standard Time exhibition, “Pacific Standard Time: Art in L.A., 1945–1980,” but the release was limited due to an issue.

Photo by Charles Brittin As part of three days of artist-led protests against the Vietnam War, the Artists Protest Committee organized a peaceful silent demonstration by about 500 artists at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Their goal was to inform Sunday museum-goers of their cause without creating a disturbance. Photo 4: Left side woman standing on side of vehicle with loudspeaker on top.
