G-Men (magazine cover issue 01)

10

G-men (ジーメン, Jīmen) was a monthly magazine made for gay men in Japan, published in 1995. The very first issue of G-men was illustrated and designed by Gengoroh Tagame, the co-founder of the magazine.

The cover of the magazine depicts a “macho” muscular man, which was the target demographic of the magazine. Though no longer in publication, G-men was a leading pioneer in representing different types of gay men in Japanese society.
