Cover design comes from Kiyoshi Awazu's works which is similar to his posters Anti-War (1968) and  Anti War- A (1971) which have similar styles and composition to the Weekly Ampo cover design. Awazu was an active post-WWII era poster designer with experience in many other fields of art and expression. His designs incorporated expressive typography and super graphics to express many contexts.
