Information about this piece:The design of this poster is based on a natural history illustration from the Aichi Prefecture collection. Hara felt that this illustration, which conveys a simple reverence for nature rather than a scientific one, matched the theme of EXPO2005.
Biographic information about this designer:Born in 1958. President and CEO of Nippon Design Center. Professor at Musashino Art University.
He put into practice designs deeply rooted in Japanese culture for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Nagano Winter Olympics and the promotion of the Aichi Expo.
He has published many books, including DESIGNING DESIGN (Lars Müller Publishers, 2007) and Japanese Design (Iwanami Shinsho, 2011).
