This is a postcard by Japanese woodblock print artist and kimono designer Kobayashi Kaichi. This postcard is inspired by the new trends that emerged in the Taisho and early Showa eras, such as mogas (modern girls) and cafes in metropolitan areas. When looking at the kimono the woman is wearing, there is a cross-like pattern that truly represents the fusion of Western and Japanese culture. Western influence can also be seen in the Art Deco style design.
