Silence = Death Poster by the Silence = Death Project

1

This powerful poster, created by a group of activists and designers during the AIDS crisis, remains one of the most iconic examples of activist graphic design. The work was produced in 1987 by the Silence = Death Project and later adopted by ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power). It features a stark black background with a pink triangle and bold typography that reads “SILENCE = DEATH.”
