"Maurice Brinton was a pen name for Chris Pallis, a UK–based libertarian socialist who was a member of the London group Solidarity. The Bolsheviks and Workers’ Control is about the period following the Russian Revolution. Pallis and Solidarity advocated for worker self-organization and were opposed to state socialism and Leninism. In this text, Pallis is critical of narratives that romanticize the relationship between workers and the party in post-revolutionary Russia. He traces the ways in which Lenin, Trotsky, and the Bolsheviks led directly to the rise of Stalin. The cover design and interior page layout for this pamphlet were prepared in England."
