SANDEMAN LOGO (1928)

1

Sandeman is a Port wine brand, founded in 1790.

It is well known for its logo, which features a man called Don, dressed in a Portuguese student’s cape and a wide-brimmed Spanish hat, known as "the Man in the Black Cape".

This logo was created in 1928 by the Scottish artist George Massiot Brown and remains largely unchanged, proving its timeless graphic strength and recognition. The brand is associated with the title Baron of Sandeman.

In addition to Port wines, the brand also produces Sherry, Brandy, and Madeira wine.
