1er Libro Condorito (The first Condorito collection), features the titular character René Ríos Boettiger (Pepo) created in 1949 and is one of Latin America's most influential comic characters. It is a satirical Chilean comic strip that became iconic across Spanish-speaking countries using bold, playful, typography and graphics that reflects Chilean culture. This series debuted in 1955 and  “was published in more than 100 newspapers around the world, even in languages such as Italian and Japanese" (Condorito: five great milestones of the famous Chilean comic strip)  demonstrating how popular it was. 

In addition, this series stands out as  “the first accessible comic created in Chile” (Condorito Inclusivo) including braille text and macrotipos for those visual impaired. 

Condorito is a mischievous and jokester peasant who overcomes challenges with his wits, traveling across different countries and historical periods with side characters such as his nephew, girlfriend, or friend.
