Created in 1972 by the Women's Graphics Collective, this poster features a baby bird on its back holding up the words, “women are not chicks” on its feet. The poster critiques the popular slang term, ‘chick’ to describe a woman, which is offensive due to its implication that they are naive/young. The Women's graphic's Collective, the organization which produced this poster, was dedicated to advancing the Women's Movement by merging design and activism.
