Leonard Koren (1948–) and R. Wippo Meckler’s Graphic Design Cookbook: Mix & Match Recipes for Faster, Better Layouts presents clear and stylistic layout ideas for printed material, like magazines, posters, books, and so on. The book is divided into five parts, each section dedicated to specific elements of a composition. There are over a thousand illustrations showcasing variations of formatting fonts, text, photos, and logos. It is a comprehensive guide full of visual examples, offering different tools and presentations.   


Originally published in 1989, Graphic Design Cookbook was reprinted in 2001 with a new cover and more illustrations. It was produced on an Apple Macintosh II computer and Linotronic 300 typesetter. Over 100,000 copies have been sold.
