This is the original album cover of the album, “Nine Lives,” by Aerosmith but it has since been replaced because of the controversy behind the matter. The illustration on the cover is based on the Indian mythology of Krishna subduing the serpent Kaliya but it is replaced with a cat's head on the album cover, which was considered to be a cultural appropriation by some. However, it is a smart play on the album title as cats are rumored to have nine lives, and Krishna often goes down to Earth in different lives to save the common people. Throughout the entire album booklet, they show inspiration from Indian culture with the style of clothes, textiles, and writing, they even change the fonts multiple times and include calligraphy in it.
