An advertising poster for Philip Morris International’s Marlboro, a brand of filtered cigarette. This poster is a part of Marlboro’s campaign in 1954 to 1999, initially produced during the times where filtered cigarettes were considered feminine. The man featured on the poster is known as the Marlboro Man, a cowboy that symbolizes Marlboro’s shift to the masculine image, possibly depicted by an American actor Christian Haren. The campaign was created by an American advertising company, Leo Burnett Worldwide.
