This is the album cover for The Present, by “The Moody Blues," from 1983. It was designed by an agency called The Studio, inspired by the original painting, Daybreak, by Maxfield Parrish. This redesign is composes mainly of orange/yellow and blue/grey hues with an airbrushed quality to it. The typefaces in use play into the older nature of the painting, originally from 1922. The font on top, ITC Benguiat Gothic is from 1977, but the lower font, Greeting Monotone, dates all the way back to the 1920s, further uniting its features to the timeframe of the original painting.
