Cover of a novel from South Asia (Begama naẏa bān̐dī naẏa by Nigūṛhānanda)

This is a novel from South Asia, specifically written in Bengali, from 1963. It is part of the Indo-Iranian languages and literature section of the University of Chicago's Regenstein library and was documented by Quinn Dombrowski. They have been documenting the vintage South Asian book covers from this collection for years, this cover being one of thousands.

The graceful Indian woman depicted on the cover is dressed in a traditional sari that flows over the majority of the cover, swirling with the two-toned, 60s-style spiral. Another feature of the 60's art style is the varying weight of the linework in the illustration as well as the simple eight-pointed stars.
