Walt Disney’s Fantasia, by Deems Taylor, which was associated with Disney’s animated film Fantasia, is an important piece in the history of design.  The book mirrored the innovation of the animated film by using design elements that synchronized with the abstract, emotive nature of the film’s music. With one of these elements being typography. Its creative use of typography, having it not only be functional but also expressive, often playing with size, placement, and style to reflect the music and animation it represented.
