Betty Crocker's “Appetizers and Desserts” Booklet

1

This is a recipe booklet from 2001, Betty Crocker's "Appetizers and Desserts." It features 105 recipes. Designed by Betty Crocker, it was edited by Jackie Sheehan (Betty Crocker editor 2001). The present design is inspired by fashion, art, and style. The graphics are consistent. Each recipe has a clip of the finished product and easy-to-read ingredients and instructions. I believe this contributes to the history of graphic design by representing the design styles in cooking/baking booklets and cookbooks. This is important because companies do not print booklets as much as they used to, and many recipes and baking/cooking information can only be found online. It is important to memorialize the era of printing to distribute information, which is why I think it would be a good fit for The People's Graphic Design Archive.
