Map of Bauhaus Dessau Campus

705

This map was designed by Joost Schmidt in 1939, to show the relationship between the new Bauhaus campus in Dessau and transportation in various forms to other important places. This map frames Dessau as the central starting point to travel to other, often much larger and more popular places like Berlin. Schmidt included time based information such as how long it would take to travel to a specific place by train, plane, or walking. He also included the actual distance in kilometers to all of these places..
