Theatre magazine 1927

3

The July 1927 issue of Theatre Magazine sports a dynamic colorful cover by the French artist Pol Rab, a master of highly coloured and dramatic Art Deco. Masked, this figure in the striking red and black costume holds a large guitar with marionettes falling from its headstock. Indeed, much of the work of Pol Rab epitomized the dynamic energy of the performing arts in the 1920s.
