Costume designs for Minister Pinh in the opera ‘Turandot’

850

This costume design was created by Anatol Petrytsky, a Ukrainian designer who was accepted into the Bauhaus but could not attended due to the socio-political turmoil of the time (artblart.com). The artwork aligns with the modernist aesthetic of the Bauhaus, using exagerated bodily form, flat shapes, and bold, contrasting colors. The design mainly consists of black and white with pops of red, a color pallet often used by the institution.

The costume design was created for Minister Pinh's use in the opera ‘Turandot.'
