A collection of Japanese family crests or Kamon drawn by Kiyoshi Kawamoto, a 20th century publisher from Kyoto. Each Kamon were drawn by hand, taking inspirations from the Japanese natural phenomenon, plants, animals, objects, etc. These designs were compiled by John Dower in his book titled ”The Elements of Japanese Design”. This version of the book is the first edition printed in 1971, published by John Weatherhill Inc. and printed in Japan.
