Antisemitic Sign
This billboard, posted in 1938 in Bad-Harzburg, states "Jews are not wanted! The store across is owned by the Jew David Boas!". It features blackletter typography which is now strongly associated with the Nazi party. Though this is not the official typeface of the Nazis, Fraktur, it has the same loud and commanding effect. Antisemetic signage like this was pervasive throughout germany in the interwar period and was part of the effort to force Jewish people out of Germany through fear and force.
