The Swan, no. 17 by Hilma af Klint
Hilma af Klint was one of the first abstract artist in Europe, inspired by the avant-garde movement. Her series “The Swan” showed two swans painted repeatedly with varying levels of abstraction. No. 17 features a high level of geometric abstraction and exists in a symbolic nature to represent the two swans through minimal shapes and colors.
