This is one of the earliest lenticular images commercially sold. The card notes on the front that it was patented Oct. 23, 1906 by H. C. J. Deeks & Co. in Patterson, NJ.

The card notes: “Look at this card sideways, first from one side and then from the other.”

The image transforms from a portrait of a child (with the caption Ragged Sailor) to a bouquet of flowers.
