Ayrton Senna/Banco Nacional cap

2

Ayrton Senna (1960 – 1994) was a Brazilian racing driver, who competed in Formula One from 1984 to 1994. Senna won three Formula One World Drivers' Championship titles with McLaren, and—at the time of his death—held the record for most pole positions. He is regarded as one of F1’s greatest drivers of all time.

Banco Nacional started sponsoring Ayrton Senna in 1985 and became one of his main sponsors during his Formula 1 career. This blue cap with the bank's screen-printed logo and the driver's signature became an icon.

The Banco Nacional de Minas Gerais logo was designed by the PVDI studio in 1971, led by notorious designer Aloisio Magalhães.
