These incredible pictorial letterform post cards, souvenirs of Paris, were produced at the turn of the twentieth century. The typography and use of photographic imagery in the letterforms is truly innovative. It is amazing to think that these were created by anonymous artisans as commercial productions.
As with all other post cards from the era, they can be understood as personalized representations of collective memory.
