This postcard from 1930 is an advertisement for the Hotel Charlotte which originally opened in 1929 and closed in 1973. Within the text we understand that this is the “Largest hotel in the Carolina’s. This hotel was designed by William Lee Stoddart. This building was a steel frame building, 13 stories in height and had 400 rooms with private baths as well as two restaurants with fixed priced meals served at both. The postcard itself also states some facts about the city of Charlotte.
