The Charlotte Post, PBS Ad

3

The Professional Beauty Supply (PBS) is a store that was started up in Charlotte in 1981. This was following an era of style-conscious American women and the Black is Beautiful movement of the 60s and late 70s.  Around this time, many similar stores began to pop up around the Charlotte, which also had a growing African American population.  It is a black & white hand-drawn add, promoting a big sale one year after the PBS opening.  The ad can be found in the 1982 edition of the Charlotte Post
