Feminist Zine created by the Riot grrrl band , Bikini Kill in 1990.
The band transformed the ideas behind their music and ethos into a cut, paste, and scribble zine with punk sensibilities. Zines are well-associated with underground, countercultural movements similar to Riotgrrrl. We notice a celebration and encouragement of themes of empowerment, rebellion, and DIY punk aesthetics through the content and interactivity (the instance of a coloring book).
This zine celebrates the band's raw energy and feminist messaging, incorporating themes of empowerment, rebellion, and DIY punk aesthetics.
