Russian Ruble 1998

1

The photo shows one Russian ruble from 1998. I found this coin at home because I moved from Russia to America more than five years ago and I brought the remaining coins with me. According to the information I found about this coin, it was produced in Russia in the northern capital called St. Petersburg (the previous name of the city was "Leningrad"). If you turn the coin to the back side, you can see the emblem of the Bank of Russia - the Double-Headed Eagle. If you look closely, you can see three letters MMD, which means "Moscow", near the eagle's right paw. Above the eagle in Russian is written "Bank of Russia", and under it is minted "ONE RUBLE 1998". On the front side is the number 1, and under it is the same "RUBLE". In total, there are several types of such coins that were produced at different times. And the coin that I provided is the third type in rarity, which in turn increases in price by more than 50 times. I believe that this object represents some history of Russia, since each coin depicts certain things such as a coat of arms, words in different languages and generally describes the era and time when this object was produced. Also, artists who create designs for such things must take into account such subtleties as aesthetics, symbols, position and font, which will be intended for mass perception for many years.
