This is a modern take on traditional Islamic calligraphy and patterns. Reza Abedini puts his own spin on that traditional Persian typography by rearranging lettering with the aid of some distortion; which is beautifully demonstrated in this piece. New dimension is created with the strategic layering of the abstract forms.
