Master of Puppets by American Heavy Metal Band Metallica, is coined as one of the greatest Heavy Metal albums of all time. It was influential in bringing Thrash Metal to the mainstream Metal scene, and is one of the best sellers for the band.
The album art was designed by the band and their manager Peter Mensch, and painted by American Painter & Illustrator Don Brautigam. Brautigam illustrated many novel covers for Stephen King, and went on to produce many album covers for bands like AC/DC, Mötley Crüe, and of course Metallica. His work on Master of Puppets is arguably his most influential and famous, as it's been used for countless reprintings of the album, posters, apparel, and much more.
The Master Of Puppets album is quite influential in pop culture as well, appearing in many works of television and movies, most recently in Stranger Things Season 4. It has helped to bring new people into Heavy Metal and even just inspire sales of products with the captivating imagery of the album on it.
