This is a UNC Charlotte course catalog infographic Ad displaying Spring 1982 classes. This is from page five of the Charlotte Observer from January 4th, 1982. The catalog offers courses under academic credit, professional development, and personal enrichment. The Academic credit section included classes that worked towards a degree to move into a new field, the professional development section included classes that gave useful career-based skills, and the personal enrichment section included classes taken to relax, such as art or music. The catalog provides their phone number, '597-2424' and a way to be mailed at the bottom, which provides insight into how college in the 1980s was different, allowing you to register over the phone or learn about classes by mail. The university was also upfront about the fees, and weekend classes were more common. This catalog ad was found in the Charlotte Observer archive from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Archive.
