West Haven High School Postcard

1

Created by Gramatan Art Company (1950-1959), this postcard of West Haven High School is shown as a still image and an information holder for the basic knowledge for the school. On the back of the postcard, it states "West Haven High School, completed and occupied in February 1927. Modern and fully equipped to provide 4 year courses for 1,250 pupils. Has thirty-eight classrooms, modern gymnasium and an auditorium seating 1,300 persons."

This postcard was for parents and/or kids that seem interested in high school. It looks like a well depicted image of what the 1950s were (older cars, older sense of scenery). Comparative objects were different types of postcards, and older comparative objects were black and white postcards since the use of color was growing. This postcard is held by West Haven Public Library. Photographs and prints are related to this object in the future.
