House of Cards
Three-dimensional particle-driven data experience made from Lidar lasers and structured light scanners. The band Radiohead was scanned and the code and data was released as a music video. Lidar lasers and structured light scanners were used to scan the band Radiohead into a three-dimensional particle driven data experience. No cameras or lights were used. The 3D Plotting technologies collected information about the shapes and relative distances of objects. The code and the data were released as an open source “music video without video” project. It was created with Director James Frost. Koblin makes great use of the freedom to combine art and technology freely and all the resources that are at his disposal.
