The Black Panther; Vol.2, No. 23

1684
"The Black Panther was a weekly newspaper published by the Black Panther Party from 1967-80. Art directed by Revolutionary Artist and Minister of Culture Emory Douglas, The Black Panther covers were a combination of Douglas’s own powerful illustration, collage, high-contrast photographs, and poster-like graphics. Bold and provocative, each cover was an incendiary call to action and a graphic work of art. Here are 10 favorite covers of The Black Panther from the 1968-70. Many of these covers are courtesy of Babylon Falling and Emory Douglas Art, both great resources for The Black Panther covers, inside pages, posters, and graphics."— http://www.robertnewman.com/the-baddest-covers-of-all-time-the-black-panther-newspaper/
