For many years, members of rock band R.E.M.’s official fan club received an annual holiday gift package filled with various custom items and memorabilia such as stickers, postcards, calendars, holiday cards and music. From 1988–2003, recordings produced exclusively for the fan club were included.
The 1998 package contained a VHS of the band’s live performance from the 1998 Tibet Freedom Concert in Washington, DC featuring:
1. E-bow The Letter, with Thom Yorke from Radiohead
2. Lucky, performed by Radiohead with Michael Stipe on vocals
